I've been an SME user since early 2003 soon after e-smith merged into Mitel (late 2001). I use the SME primarily for home use where it operates 24/7 with a large number of applications some from contribs and some as applications on VMWare.
My main contributions to the community have been in the How-to's; namely collaborating on: MythTV, SqueezeCenter, HeyU, AddExtraHardDisk, VMWare, and a few others.
