Could we place a link to the Contribs page in the left 'wiki" box just under Documentation?  It might be helpful for browsing the documentation/contribs instead of always having to come back to the main page to get to contribs. We have one for the Constitution and I would wager that more people would like to access Contribs more often than the Constitution.  A similar argument might also be made for HOW TO's. - [[User:Uniqsys|Uniqsys]] 00:04, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Please place four tildes (~) to sign your commands, as this will add your username (and a link to your user page), a timestamp and will also notify you of replies when available. - Cactus 13:59, 15 April 2007 (EDT)

Remove page header "Main Page" from the main page

As the Main_Page will be the main contribs.org webpage I would like to have the Main_Page Pagetitle to be not displayed. Here is a hint on howto do this, but it also requires some modification in the configuration of the wiki: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help_talk:Page_name#How_to_remove_a_page_title.3F - Cactus 03:00, 16 April 2007 (EDT)

Cactus - Please setup the the javascript as you think it needs to be setup and lock the page. I'll check back and enable the flag to see if it does what we want.

Sorry I have not reacted earlier, I only saw your remark yesterday. I will make alterations as soon as I find some time to test it somewhere on my testbox. BTW Just saw you updated your time stamp... nice way to draw attention :-) - Cactus 11:09, 10 August 2007 (MDT)

I hand typed the sig line before. Wasn't sure how to put it there correctly. Read up on it today and updated the directions. ;-) Slords (talkcontribs). 11:12, 10 August 2007 (MDT)

I've also finally got email notifications working correctly. If you are watching a page you should now get notified when a change is made. Slords (talkcontribs). 11:13, 10 August 2007 (MDT)

Selling points and/or reviews

Based on this forum thread I started creating the SellingPoints page. Perhaps it is worth linking it from the Main_Page or even better incorporating some in it as this now is the main page for SME Server? - Cactus 04:13, 16 September 2007 (MDT)

I agree, but i don't like the page name
lets place the information in http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:About

and add a new link in the side bar between Main Page and Documentation, :About

Snoble 19:36, 16 September 2007 (MDT)

I have overwritten the SME_Server:About page according to Snoble's remark, as the information in the old SME_Server:About page was not worth saving. I also deleted the redirect from SellingPoints that was automatically created by the move. Snoble, do you have permission to modify the side bar or should we raise a bug for that? I personally think that it might be better of on a more prominent place on the Main_Page, perhaps just before the Documentation section or just after that and just in front of the support section. - Cactus 05:00, 17 September 2007 (MDT)

Placement of the election call box

Should we put the Election Call before the current release, IMHO it should be below, just my 2ct's... - Cactus 14:10, 14 January 2008 (MST)

After April upgrade warning

Snoble I think we should keep the after April upgrade warning on the main page as well as a lot off questions have been asked about this in the forums, I expect more to come, although most users might have updated. — Cactus (talk | contribs 13:02, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Convenient link to Contribs section

Could we place a link to the Contribs page in the left 'wiki" box just under Documentation? It might be helpful for browsing the documentation/contribs instead of always having to come back to the main page to get to contribs. We have one for the Constitution and I would wager that more people would like to access Contribs more often than the Constitution. A similar argument might also be made for HOW TO's. - Uniqsys 00:04, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
