With the release of SME 7.3 the developers are now concentrating on SME 8.x
Generally only significant bugs will be fixed in 7.x, minor bugs and NFR's are being pushed into SME Future to be fixed when time is available.
You can get higher priority for your bug by installing a virtual machine with SME 8.x and duplicating your issue. Then lodge in SME 8.x, It will likely be backported to 7.x.
